Bill Zemak is a father of 2 children (Bella 13 and Tony 11) and 16 years married to Alexandra. Owner of The Forklift Pro, Inc in Pineville, NC. Bill has been involved with off road racing since 1984 when he started racing around on his homemade Briggs and Stratton 3hp minibike.
In the late 80’s and into the 90’s Bill was growing his ranking racing the OPEN Pro, OPEN Pro-Am, and 250 PRO ATV classes.
In the mid 90’s Bill continued on ATV’s and switched to the early 4 stroke quads and quickly took a liking to the renewed power of the 4 stroke.
While continuing to grow businesses, getting married, and starting a family, Bill took a break from competitive racing throughout the early 2000’s.
For fun, in 2004 he purchased his first ever Side by Side made by Yamaha while being laughed at by his fellow riding buddies and quickly learned there was an opportunity to race again.
In 2009, with the help (and co-driving) of Alex Reed from CT Race Worx, Bill entered his first GNCC race bone stock Kawasaki Teryx and WON the race!
Throughout the years that followed, many, many SXS’s were raced from all brands.
It was early 2015, when things started to line up to fulfill the life-long dream to race in the desert. While having zero desert racing experience or casual desert riding experience, for that matter, Bill decided to have CT Race Worx build a Can Am Maverick Turbo to race the 2015 Vegas to Reno Best In the Desert race. The longest off road race in America!
While the finish of that race was not what was planned, the desert dust struck a nerve and hooked Bill Zemak and the rest of the team.
The growth and synergy the team has experienced since that first race over 1 year ago has been instrumental in the success of the team with 1 top 5 finish, 1 top 10 finish, and 2 top 15 finishes. All the while, not having ANY testing time in the desert to check our build quality.
